Rob Lewis

16 Steakhouse presents Rob Lewis, part of our Alfresco Dining Live Entertainment series.

Throughout the summer, we’ll be putting on live entertainment every Friday night on our dining terrace. Come and enjoy the fabulous ambience of our outdoor dining experience!

About Rob Lewis:
“I first sang in a live band capacity in 1997, with a few friends under the name Withnail. We only played two gigs but I had the huner for playing live.

I joined Jynx in 1999 and we had an amazing year before we disbanded. Three of us from Jynx went on to form Moschopps with our friend Vern. We played together for a year or so. During this time I made my first venture into solo acoustic shows.
After flitting in and out of various bands over the next few years and continuing with the solo gigs which had now included the use of backing tracks, I was asked to join the Colourbind Hedgehogs in 2007 after a successful audition. I have been with these guys now for ten years and have played bike rallies, fun days, weddings, parties, festivals, pubs, clubs and charity events and have also recorded two albums, one live and an album of ten original compositions of which I wrote three and co-wrote two.
During my time with the Colourblind Hedgehogs I also founded an eight piece country band Stetsons Are Cool in 2013. We have since played a wedding, charity events, Ipswich Music Day in 2015. This band is still playing is enjoying a growing fanbase and I am extremely proud of what the band has evolved into
I also decided in 2015 to abolish the backing tracks in my solo act and strip it back to acoustic guitar, with the occasional banjo or piano song. I now go out as The Last Gunfighter. I am now performing regularly as an acoustic act. If the occasion arises, I am still able to use backing tracks.
In January 2017 I became the Vocal Coach at the Ipswich Rock Project and I am absolutely loving this! Its such a rewarding job and I feel honoured to be a part of it!”

Entertainment begins from 6.30pm and goes late into the evening.
